Sinais Identitários no Cinema do Desconforto

Throughout history, Brazilian cinema has signaled questions and themes embedded in the country's social body, establishing recognizable traits across its productions. Faced with various limitations on the practice of the craft, it found resonance among authors who sought to consolidate and amplify expression. This dissertation seeks to identify points of convergence between the cinema of Glauber Rocha and that of Kleber Mendonça Filho, taking into account the historical political and social conditions inherent to the country.
